Fáilte Ireland
Four Regions. One Strategic Vision.
A connected suite of strategy reports for Fáilte Ireland, each designed to reflect the character of its region while sitting within a clear national framework.
I was trusted with the design of four major Regional Tourism Development Strategy reports for Fáilte Ireland, each one representing a distinct part of Ireland’s tourism landscape.
The challenge was to give each region its own visual character while maintaining a consistent structure across the full suite. The result was a coherent family of reports that felt strategic, accessible and strongly connected to place.
Regenerative Tourism, Clearly Communicated.
This project for Fáilte Ireland supported the launch of the Regenerative Tourism & Placemaking Scheme for Ireland’s Midlands 2023–2026, a programme designed to help communities and tourism businesses understand the opportunities available through the EU Just Transition Fund. The work needed to communicate a broad and complex subject – funding, placemaking, biodiversity, trails, tourism development and regional transition – in a way that felt accessible, inspiring and practical.
I developed a visual system that could flex across a wide suite of materials, from the core introductory booklet through to pull-up stands, tabletop displays, posters and a full tradeshow setup. The design language used atmospheric landscape imagery, layered mapping, strong typographic hierarchy and a natural Midlands-inspired palette to create a distinctive and cohesive presence across print, display and event environments.
The result was a campaign toolkit that helped bring the scheme to life beyond the page. Whether someone encountered it in a booklet, at a stand, on a poster or within a tradeshow space, the materials worked together to explain the ambition of the programme: supporting tourism that gives back to place, nature, communities and visitors.
